Our Team at OakHaven Academy
Our Ontario certfied teachers and educators have decades of combined experience working with neurodiverse students who require more support than traditional classrooms can provide. They are proficient in instruction in literacy and numeracy, individualized success plans (IEPs), and daily social-emotional learning.
Our educators have supported students with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and other learning challenges, helping them build confidence, independence, and meaningful academic progress in a calm, nurturing, relationship-based environment.

Welcome to OakHaven Academy!
It is my pleasure to welcome you to OakHaven Academy. While we are a new, independent school located in Burlington, Ontario, our passionate and experienced staff bring decades of teaching expertise to our classrooms. Together, we are building a learning community where every child is known, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Throughout my 30 years in education, I have specialized in helping students who have struggled in previous classrooms thrive. I began my career as a special education resource teacher and later served as a principal at an accredited independent school.
My journey has always been driven by a deep commitment to student success and well-being—values that are at the heart of OakHaven Academy.
At OakHaven, we believe in the power of individualized instruction and in fostering a lifelong love of learning. Our team is dedicated to helping each student build confidence, develop essential academic and social-emotional skills, and reach their full potential. We strive to create a warm, inclusive environment where diverse learners feel safe, supported, and inspired.
